A piece from the Imagine March 2021: Storied Stories project, in honor of the 2023 project we just wrapped up. But also in honor of my son, who is wrapping up his current duty with the Marines.
Imagine March: Storied Stories is an annual writing event in To Live & Write. I hand out a set of rules to a large group of writers, who then divide into teams and write separate scenes that move the reader or audience through one story’s tight universe, which is usually an existing house on our island in the San Francisco Bay Area.
