Here I am, continuing to use Flash Lit October prompts to talk about writing. I'm a writing + creativity coach; it's what I do.

Prompt #5: Happy Trails

Would you write it on a train? Would you write it on a plane? Would you, could you, write it on a ferry crossing the San Francisco Bay?

I have hosted 20 writing retreats and the hands-down favorite of these 4-day getaways is Write on the Rails. We do it twice a year now.

It’s just what you think it is – as we ride the rails, on a train, we write. Then we stay at a resort to continue writing for a couple of days. Finally, we get back on the train to write some more on the way home. I’ve done this seven times, and it’s still fresh and fun and powerful.
